To complement our expanding business, we are actively seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Support Engineer to be based at our Hemel Hempstead office, and join our existing support department specialising in customer technical support of our range of Door Entry, Access Control and related security products.  

The successful applicant will need to be very hands on, demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude when dealing with technical related customer enquiries, as well as solving technical issues over the phone. Experience of installation and support of technical products is preferable.

Key Responsibilities for the position:

  • Provide first line telephone product support to our trade installer customer base.
  • Produce and modify system drawings utilising CAD.
  • Assist in delivering customer training programs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to fault find remotely in a logical and methodical manner.
  • Undertake hands on testing and repair of door entry and access control systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think on your feet.
  • Show a strong desire to problem solve quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be self-reliant and responsible.

Practical Requirements for the position:

  • Experience within the Door Entry, Access Control, CCTV and/or AV integration industry essential.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A good knowledge of electronics and fault finding to board level.
  • Good Network skills (TCP/IP, Wireless, Ethernet).
  • A keen enthusiasm to learn, progress and have a company focussed attitude.
  • Able to work under reasonable pressure and as part of the wider technical support team.
  • A good knowledge of ICT and all MS Office programs.
